Silves Municipal Archaeology Museum
A gem of Islamic heritage in Portugal.
The museum has a collection of artifacts from the Paleolithic, through the Neolithic, Chalcolithic, the Bronze Age, Iron Age, the Roman period and stand out, not only the quantity but also the quality and rarity parts from the Medieval period, especially the Muslim occupation period.Silves, due to the geographic location and access to natural resources, has always been a desired town in all cultures, being a historic milestone of Algarve.
