Portimão Museum
It is a museum with 5000 mt² that besides the exhibition halls the museum has an auditorium of 174 seats and a multipurpose room open to all kinds of cultural intervention, a workshop and laboratory for conservation and restoration and a documentation center / archive.
From Prehistory to the Contemporary Era, the estate of the museum focuses on:
Industrial and ethnographic patrimony, especially of the canning industry, shipbuilding, fishing, stevedoring, lithography, casting, tin, smokehouses, transport, among others. As for the archaeological remains of the city, it adds materials from various terrestrial and underwater archaeological sites.
